Look-out Lunch Tour

Join our Ranger on a guided walk and have the flora and fauna and restoration programme explained in detail.  Your main entry fee, the two hour walk and a beautiful picnic lunch at the lookout is included.  Adults $50.00 and children $25.00. Departs reception at 11am and return 1pm.  Bookings essential.  Phone 06 375 8004.

Twilight Canapé Tour
Have the place to yourselves after hours. Exclusive access to the reserve for your group - extended family, special interest groups or businesses. Our Ranger will give you a full tour followed by canapés and non-alcoholic drinks on the deck. You may bring your own wine (BYO licence in situ).

Available Thursday through Saturday evenings from 7.30pm. November through February.  Price includes general admission fee.  Cost is $60.00 per person. Phone to discuss what is best for you on 06 375 8004. 

Night Adventure
A fun and exciting night experience for children aged 5 - 15 years. Children will explore the forest where they will seek out a kiwi burrow and find kiwi eggs (simulated), listen for nocturnal birds, track kiwi, feed the eels.

A Ranger will accompany them and everyone wears special lamp-hats and be true explorers!

Finish with hot chocolate and cookies.  Available in school holidays. Minimum of 6 children required. Price includes transportation to and from Masterton.

$50.00 pp. Departs Masterton 7pm and returns 9.30pm

Visit Nesting Kaka
This is an exclusive opportunity to visit a kaka nest with a Ranger and see kaka chicks up close. You watch as a ranger weighs and examines the chicks, changes their nesting material and returns them to their nest. Lots of interesting stories from the Ranger about our captive breeding programme.

Limited to small groups only. Your general admission price is included as well as afternoon tea.

$60.00 per adult
$40.00 per child
